I'm curious if track saws and routers, especially from Milwaukee, are ever on sale anymore. I'm contemplating making a purchase and wondering if it's worth it. Also, how does the Milwaukee track saw or router stack up against Festool products? I'm thinking of pairing it with a Festool MFT for a compact woodworking setup.

I have a mix of tools from Festool, Flex, and Milwaukee. My Festool track saw is solid, and with the MFT and the TSO fence I set up, my cuts are super accurate. If I had it to do over again, I’d probably build my own MFT though - the MFT3 can feel a bit flimsy. For routers, I love the Flex but would lean toward Milwaukee since there's more aftermarket support for those.
I've been using my Milwaukee track saw for cutting plywood, and I really like it! The blades work just fine for the price too, much better than Festool blades. I've also got the compact routers for my dados, and they've been awesome for my projects.
I snagged a track saw on sale earlier this year for around $379, and it came with two 6Ah batteries! It's worth keeping an eye out for sales; they do pop up occasionally.
