I'm looking for some advice on how to care for my hydrangeas. I live in Pennsylvania and we've had a really hot and rainy summer, with temperatures regularly hitting over 90 degrees. I was worried they might be overwatered, so I've been letting them dry out a bit. I've also given them hydrangea food a couple of times, but I haven't used it lately since it requires mixing with water and I don't want to drown them if that's the issue. I'm really new to this, so any help would be appreciated!

It sounds like you might be over-fertilizing your hydrangeas. Too much fertilizer can stress them out, especially in hot weather. Try to hold off on the food for now and just focus on watering them less frequently—make sure the soil dries out a bit between watering sessions.

Thanks for the tip! What makes you say that?
