How to Remove Stubborn Adhesive from My Wall Before Installing a Backsplash?

Hey everyone! My wife and I recently bought our first home and decided to install a backsplash above the stovetop using peel and stick panels. We messed up the alignment a bit, had to take them off, and learned from the experience as we went along. We got a heat gun for the next set, but now I'm left with some various damage on the wall. Some areas only have sticky residue that won't budge, even after trying Goo Gone and isopropyl alcohol. I'm looking for advice on the best way to properly clean up this mess before we attempt to put the backsplash up again. I've included a link to some pictures showing the current state and how it looked before we started removing everything. Thanks for your help!

You should give acetone a shot; it's pretty effective for removing stubborn adhesive. Just make sure to test it on a small area first to avoid any damage.

Ordered both acetone and Goof Off. I'm going to try out these solutions, then seal everything up with GARDZ primer before I spackle.
