How Can I Stop My Milwaukee Drawer Dividers from Shifting?

Asked By CraftyWanderer92 On

I'm having trouble with my Milwaukee drawer dividers constantly moving up inside the drawers. Is there any trick or product that can help keep them in place, apart from expensive 3D printed solutions like NeatTools? I really need to keep my vix bits separate from my drill bits and avoid any mixing. Plus, since I'm often on the go and sometimes have to jostle my packout over rough terrain, this issue has become pretty frustrating. My main setup is the three-drawer unit, so any suggestions for preventing this would be appreciated!

From what I've seen, these dividers tend to wiggle around. You could try some hockey tape on the edges to create a tighter fit, which might keep them from shifting too much. Alternatively, clipping a thin piece of foam over each divider could also work, as it helps prevent movement when you're on the go. Good luck!

Yeah, that foam idea sounds solid! I might give that a shot too.

Or you could wrap a bead of caulk under the dividers to hold them in place. It's supposed to be easy to remove if you need to.

Honestly, there's no perfect solution. Some people suggest using double stick tape or even glue to secure them. Just keep in mind that it might not last forever. That's why I keep my smaller items in separate packouts to avoid the hassle with the drawers.

I feel you on this one! A person in another thread mentioned how putting a bead of caulk worked well for them, and it seems easy to change back if needed. Might be worth a try!
