I'm in search of some solid work pants as an alternative to shorts. The heat usually has me opting for shorts, but my legs are taking a beating from trimming. I'm looking for something that's breathable and comfortable. Any recommendations?

I usually go for hiking pants! They're breathable, lightweight, and dry quickly, making them perfect for hot weather. Plus, they're designed for movement, so they should hold up well during work.
Costco has some great synthetic uniform pants that are a good choice for warm weather. They dry fast, look nice, and are affordable. I usually grab 32 Cool, though I haven't seen that exact brand lately. If it gets colder, I just switch to insulated pants!
I've had great luck with used uniform pants. You can find them on eBay pretty cheap—about $8 a pair. Brands like Cintas and Redkap hold up really well for manual labor. They're lighter than jeans but super durable. Just a heads up, they don’t keep you as warm in winter and don’t protect against thorns and stuff as much.

I second that! My Cintas pants are super durable, but just watch out for sizing—they run small! I usually wear a 36 in jeans but need a 40 in Cintas.
