Can I Use Speaker Wire for Landscape Lighting Instead of Low Voltage Wire?

I've noticed that speaker wire is significantly cheaper than low voltage landscape wire, often about half the price. Both types I'm looking at are pure copper (not CCA), direct bury rated, sunlight resistant, stranded, and of 14 AWG. What am I missing in terms of quality or function?

If the speaker wire is direct bury rated, I don’t see any issues using it for landscape lighting. Just make sure it meets the necessary specs. I've seen it priced as low as $0.40 per foot on Amazon, which feels like a steal compared to landscape wire!

Right? I was worried about the quality, but it seems like a solid option.
