Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a strange issue where my cold tap is unexpectedly running hot for about 30 seconds before turning cool. This is happening across all my faucets. I've also noticed a warm spot on my kitchen tile that I've never felt before, and it's quite noticeable when I'm standing there barefoot. Has anyone experienced this or know what could be causing it? Any insights would be appreciated!

Check if your plumbing pipes are routed too close together. If you live in an apartment or condo, it's possible that a neighbor's recirculating pump is affecting your water supply.
This could be due to the heat from the pipes in your attic, especially if it's hot outside. When the water sits in the pipes, it can get warmed up. It’s pretty common during the summer months!
You might have a leak in the hot water pipe under your kitchen floor. If the hot water is nearby the cold water line, it could be heating it up. Try checking your water meter to see if it's moving when all taps are off!

Exactly! I live in Texas, and during the summer, the cold water can sometimes feel warm enough to bathe in at first too.
