Best Ways to Protect My Windowsills from Plant Pots?

I've noticed that my flower pots leave unsightly rings and spots on my windowsills since my apartment gets really hot during the day. I tried placing a thin cloth down, but it tends to stick, especially after a really hot day. I'm curious if anyone here has found effective methods or materials, like a plant tray or something else, to put under pots on windowsills to prevent damage.

You might want to try those copper trays specifically made for windowsills. Also, cutting flexible cutting mats from Dollar Tree to fit your window sill can work wonders. Just place your plant saucers and pots on those to protect the wood. Felt circles on the bottom of saucers are a nice touch too!

Great idea! The mats could save a lot of hassle with cleaning later.

I’ve had great success with ceramic trays! Most of my pots came with thick felt pads that fit perfectly underneath. I prefer the felt ones over anything else because they’re really sturdy and act like little coasters.

Felt pads are really awesome! They don’t scratch and provide good cushioning.

For me, I use coasters and found some super cute little dishes at HMart that work perfectly under my plants. They add a little style too!
