Do You Get Hayfever in Late February?

Every year around late February, I experience a brief spike in my hayfever symptoms, but it usually clears up until May. I'm curious if anyone else has similar experiences or knows what could be causing this to happen?

Yeah, I feel you! My hayfever kicks off around February as well, but it sticks around for longer, ramping up from February until June. It definitely sounds like it could be some kind of tree pollen causing your issues.

It could be due to tree pollen, specifically from hazel and alder trees. They tend to start releasing pollen this time of year, which might be triggering your symptoms.

Hayfever can be triggered by various pollens and mold spores. During winter, tree pollen can still affect some people. I know someone whose hayfever is triggered by certain tree pollens like birch, especially since it can also influence food allergies like with apples. Might want to look into this if you're cycling a lot during the early days of spring!

That's interesting! I usually don’t react to grass pollen, but I've never considered how tree pollen might play a role in all this.
