Should I Replace My Circular Saw for a Standard Blade Size?

Asked By User3456@random On

I'm currently using a Craftsman 5 3/8" circular saw, which came in a bundle. I'm struggling to find blades for it locally, and I'm wondering if I should just sell it and invest in a more standard-sized saw. Has anyone faced a similar issue?

I've never even heard of that size! Are you in the US? If you are, I would definitely say it's worth considering getting a saw that uses standard blades.

Yes, I'm in the US. This is actually my first circular saw, and I had no idea that it was an uncommon size when I bought it. ?

What are you mainly cutting? If it’s anything more than just sheet goods, I'd recommend moving up to a standard 7 1/4" saw. It's way more versatile for typical projects.

I'm mostly working with 2x4's.
