I've got this bricked-in section in my backyard that's currently just overrun with weeds. I'm not exactly sure what it was originally for, but my wife wants to revamp it into a nice area where she can place some decor or potted plants. Any ideas or suggestions on how to transform this space?

How about turning it into a mini zen garden? You could rake it and add some stones, maybe even a small water feature. It’d be a relaxing space for sure!
First off, consider the amount of sunlight it gets! That’ll help you decide what plants or decor will thrive there. Also, knowing your hardiness zone and how much rain you usually get can steer your choices. If it’s in New England and doesn’t heat up much sun, go for plants that can handle those conditions!
