Tips for Managing Gravel Delivery When It’s Raining?

I'm having 2 tons of pea gravel and 1 ton of screenings delivered tomorrow morning, but the weather forecast predicts heavy rain all day. I'm really worried that the screenings will wash away and create a mess. Does anyone have any advice on how to keep them contained? Am I worrying too much? Would throwing a tarp over them help? Thanks in advance!

If they're not already mixed, I suggest you keep the screenings covered and let the pea gravel stay out to wash off any dirt. Maybe dump everything on a large tarp to catch any screenings if they start rolling away. That way, you can avoid a mess!

Great point! They're being delivered in one load, so I expect they'll mix a bit. I’ll definitely lay down a tarp underneath and then cover it with plastic to keep the rain off. Fingers crossed it works!

Definitely throw a tarp over it! That should help keep the screenings from washing away during the rain. It'll protect them until you're ready to move them.
