Is $1,000-$1,200 a Normal Price for Planting a Tree?

Hey everyone! I'm in Colorado and just got two quotes for planting a tree in my front yard. Both quotes are for 6-8 ft trees, one costing $1,000 and the other $1,200 for a slightly better tree. I'm curious if this pricing is typical for our area. Just to note, the quotes are part of a larger project, so they'll be doing some additional work like removing a few existing plants and maybe some grading, which are quoted separately. What do you think?

Honestly, prices can be all over the place. I’ve seen similar quotes in my area too. It might be worth checking with a few more landscaping companies to compare. And don't forget to include the cost for aftercare—like watering or mulching—since that can impact the overall cost of planting.

Good point! It’s not just about the tree; making sure it thrives is super important!

That price range seems a bit high to me, but it really depends on the type of tree and the local market. Trees can vary greatly in cost based on quality. If the second quote is for a premium tree, it might be worth it. Just make sure they have a good warranty in case something goes wrong!

Yeah, I agree! Plus, if they offer planting and initial care services, that can be a huge bonus.
