How to Secure a Backyard Stop Net for Soccer?

I'm looking to build a stop net behind my soccer goal. I'm thinking of using 16-foot 4x4 posts to reach a height of about 14 feet and cover roughly 6 meters. What's the best way to securely anchor these posts into the ground? Also, do you think I should add any bracing between them for extra support?

For those tall posts, concrete anchoring is a must! Typically, you want to bury about a third of the post's height, which means you'd need to dig around a 5-foot hole for your 16-foot posts. If you’re aiming for around 4 meters tall, keep in mind this means 4 feet or so in the ground. U-shaped anchors in concrete could let you keep the posts above ground, but ensure they’re deep enough, or they might wobble under tension from the net!

Good point! So, if I go with 4 meters tall, I definitely need to dig a deeper hole to keep it steady. I guess I should also look into adding some bracing between the posts to prevent any swaying.
