I've been dealing with hair clogs in my bathroom shower drain, which has a 4-inch Schluter square drain cover. My family has long, curly hair, and I used to snake the drain every few months due to severe clogs. To help with this, I installed an in-drain hair trap specifically designed for my drain. While it does prevent the severe clogs, I find myself cleaning it out 2-3 times per week since it fills up almost daily. I'm looking for options to make this easier—perhaps a quick access solution or maybe a better hair trapping product that doesn't involve screws. Any suggestions?

I had a similar clogging problem and switched to a drain strainer that sits on top of the drain. I recommend the OXO Good Grips shower drain protector—it's made of stainless steel and has a silicone rim to keep it in place. It works great for catching hair without the hassle of dealing with screws!
You should definitely consider getting a Tub Shroom! It's honestly one of the best investments I've made for dealing with hair in the drain. It catches a ton of hair from the shower, and it's super easy to clean without any screws to mess with.
Another option is to use a kitchen sink strainer or a tub hair catcher designed with fine mesh. They don't screw down, so cleaning is a breeze, but you'll still need to maintain it regularly to prevent buildup.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll definitely check that out!
