Daily Gardening Routines: What Should I Expect?

I've recently taken on a large garden and have no prior experience in gardening. I know it might sound silly, but I'm curious about the daily and weekly tasks involved in maintaining a garden. How do people typically care for their gardens? What kind of work do you do every day, and what tasks are done weekly or monthly? I'm aiming for a flourishing garden with lots of plants, so I'd love to know what the day-to-day upkeep looks like!

I'm in peak growing season, so my routine is quite involved! I usually pop out to check on my garden multiple times throughout the day, especially if it’s hot. Morning is prime time for watering, and I always keep an eye on any weeds that pop up. I also love to observe how things are growing and see if anything is ready to harvest. Gardening is definitely a full-time love affair!

Hey, it's great that you're diving into gardening! Your daily routine can change a lot depending on where you live and the season. For me, every day starts with watering, especially if it's hot outside. I aim to do this in the morning or evening to avoid the heat. I also check for any pest issues and look for plants that might need some pruning. I'm still learning, but generally, I give everything a good observation every couple of days!

Every day I sort of casually stroll through my garden—admiring growth and checking for anything that needs attention. Weekly, I make sure to do the bigger tasks like planting, pruning, or fertilizing. A few times a year, I tackle more significant projects, like replacing raised beds or updating irrigation. It's a labor of love, but it's flexible—you can set it up to require more or less attention based on your goals!
