Hey everyone! I'm in Ohio, and we just experienced an intense downpour, probably the heaviest rain I've seen in years. After the rain, I noticed my gutters were overflowing. I recently had them cleaned, so I'm wondering if I should be concerned about this situation given the extreme weather. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, if you were in the middle of that rainstorm, don’t stress too much. No gutter system is designed to handle sudden torrential downpours like we had. As long as water is still draining out of the downspouts, you’re probably in good shape. Just too much water came down at once, which can happen in heavy storms!
Before you jump to conclusions, it's a good idea to check if they might be clogged. Heavy rainfall can quickly overwhelm gutters even if they’ve been cleaned recently. Just make sure everything is flowing correctly!
If you're nervous about the cleanup or potential problems, you might want to check the gutters more closely. If you have a drone available, it can be a great way to inspect them without risking a ladder fall. I’ve done this before; sometimes, the work isn't as thorough as it should be, and seeing it from above can give you peace of mind!
I did watch them do the cleaning, so I think they did it right. But I like the drone idea for future checks!

Thanks for the reassurance! I’ve been worried because I have a few other issues at home that have had me on edge. Appreciate it!
