I'm trying to find the wooden studs in my metal shop building so I can mount a bracket for a mini split AC condenser. The building has metal siding and insulation on the outside. What's the best technique to locate those wooden studs from the outside? Thanks in advance for your help!

Honestly, if it’s an option for you, consider mounting the AC unit from the inside. It can make things a lot simpler without the hassle of finding the studs through the siding.
You might have a tough time finding the studs through that metal siding. I suggest looking for horizontal lath boards on the outside; those usually have screws visible that can indicate where the studs are. Also, it might be easier to locate the studs from inside the building if you can access that area.
Trying to use a stud finder might work too, especially if it can detect through the metal. Just ensure it’s designed for that kind of measurement. Good luck!

Yeah, checking where the screws are on the lath boards is a solid idea! Just remember, if you can't find the studs, check around a bit more—sometimes the layout can be tricky.
