Hey there! Gardening in Florida is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. Start by checking what gardening zone you’re in and which plants grow best during different seasons. It's also super helpful to observe the sunlight in your garden! If you're working with sandy soil, mixing in some compost will really boost your plants. I’d suggest beginning with a few raised beds or containers to make the learning curve a bit gentler. You got this!

Don’t underestimate your local agricultural extension office! They have tons of resources and can guide you on the best plants for your specific area. Plus, they might have a hotline if you have questions. Also, check out the online tool from the Florida Fresh project to know what to plant when. It's super handy! Starting with fall tomatoes can be a solid plan since they'll last through the summer if you take care of them.

You should definitely check out Pete Kanaris' YouTube channel, GreenDreams. He has some great videos with Jim Kovaleski who has a garden in Florida. It's a fantastic resource! Also, even though it's not Florida-focused, Epic Gardening has tons of useful content for beginners. Both channels can give you loads of ideas and techniques to try out!
