What Size Router Bit Should I Use for the Bottom Panel of My Drawer?

I'm building drawers for the first time and I'm not sure what size router bit I need to create the grooves for the bottom panel, which is 9mm thick. Any advice would be appreciated!

You probably want to stick with a 9mm groove, but if you have access to a table saw, that's usually the best route for this kind of work. It gives you a bit more control and precision over the fit.

Totally agree! I usually go for 1/4 inch plywood for the bottom and make 2 or 3 passes through the table saw for a groove that's about 3/8 deep. If you're using a router instead, make sure the groove is big enough to slide the panel in without too much hassle.
