Hey everyone! I'm part of the Dewalt crew and I've got a 20V MAX XR oscillating multitool (model DCS356C1) that I really love because of its variable speed and quick-change features. I'm on the hunt for a solid battery that's cost-effective. I think a 3 or 4Ah battery would be the best fit for my needs, balancing runtime, weight, and power. However, I'm not too familiar with Dewalt's battery options and terminologies, so I'm seeking your advice! What battery would you recommend for occasional use, mainly cutting but not much sanding?

Lowes often has the 3Ah batteries on sale for around $39, though I don't think they have it right now. If you're not rushed, just keep an eye out for its return.
If you're open to something smaller, the 1.7Ah PowerStack is pretty impressive! It's compact but packs the power of a 5Ah battery. If you're mainly cutting and don’t need extended runtime, I’d say it’s worth considering!
You might want to check out the compact 4Ah batteries. A lot of stores are having sales to clear them out for newer models. I usually use those or the standard 2Ah battery with my multitool, and they work great!
Are these the ones you're referring to? For this tool, I'd say a couple of 2Ah batteries are perfect, or a couple of the 1.7Ah PowerStacks. You probably wouldn't see much benefit from the PowerStacks though, even if they are just $10 more at Bomgaars.

Thanks for the tip! I found this two-pack that seems like a good deal: [https://a.co/d/c7hwQtg](https://a.co/d/c7hwQtg). I know Amazon isn’t always an authorized Dewalt seller, but I’ve had no issues before as long as the seller seems reputable.
