I have around 7 or 8 batteries, and each has 1-2 bad cells. I'm curious about the process of repairing them. I've noticed that many people use a spot welder to reattach the connection tabs. I was thinking of using one of the batteries as a donor to replace the dead cells in the others. Unfortunately, none of these batteries are under warranty anymore. Also, a 20V pressure washer kind of fried them, so there's that too!

I've tried doing this myself and it didn't go well. I bought a $50 spot welder, which worked surprisingly well, but the process of removing the old tabs from the cells was super tedious. I followed all the steps, but in the end, my battery still wouldn't work again. It's a tough task for sure!

I feel you! I was wondering if I should just try fixing them myself or take them to a professional place like Batteries Plus. But I hear fixing multiple batteries can get pretty expensive!
