Hey everyone! I'm not very handy, but I recently put down some polymeric sand on my small brick walkway. I lightly watered it, and it seemed to cure and harden well. However, after a rain last night, the sand became soft again and was blown out of the cracks by the wind. Is this something that's going to happen every time it rains? Am I going to lose all my hard work?

I purchased the Master Craft polymeric sand from Menanrds and first rain it is all over my brick driveway.
Sounds like you might have used a lower-quality brand of polymeric sand. I had a similar issue with some light-colored sand from Home Depot; it just didn't harden properly. I recommend looking for sand from a reputable hardscape store instead. It’s a hassle to redo the process when it doesn’t set right!
I totally agree! I’ve tried polymeric sand from both Home Depot and Lowe’s, and it never worked out for me. It's better to invest in a higher-quality sand. Trust me, it’ll save you from repeating the work later.
I had a similar experience with cheap brands! You should check out "Next Gel"; it’s highly rated and sets really well, even under rough weather. It's worth a shot if you want to avoid this problem in the future!

Yeah, I think I also ended up with the cheap stuff from the depot. Total pain!
