Need Advice on Compact Elongated Toilets That Fit Bidets

I'm currently remodeling my bathroom and need to choose a new toilet. The design is set up for a standard elongated toilet with a 12-inch rough-in and the drywall is already in place. I've come across the "compact elongated" toilets, which have the dimensions of a round bowl but the added comfort of an elongated one—ideal for my larger family. However, I'm also a bidet user and plan to attach a bidet now and upgrade later. I noticed while shopping that some compact models may have less mounting space for bidet attachments. So, I'm looking for recommendations or experiences with compact toilets that can accommodate bidets. Any suggestions? I'm located in Ohio, by the way!

If you're worried about fit, check the bidet's installation instructions online. Most will specify how much clearance you need from the tank to the mounting holes. I just installed a Toto bidet, and it needed at least 2 inches of space, which both of my toilets provided after I measured. Make sure to measure twice before buying!

That's great advice! I didn't think about checking the bidet measurements first. I’ll definitely make sure to do that.

You should definitely check the specifications for each toilet—some compact elongated models can still be a great fit! My friend has a tiny bathroom and switched to a compact toilet that was actually two inches shorter without sacrificing comfort. Just search through plumbing manufacturers' listings, and you can use filters to narrow down your options. It took us a little while to find one, but it came in about a week after ordering!
