I'm curious if anyone has experience using Harris food grade diatomaceous earth on their plants. Does it actually work for pest control or any other plant issues?

Diatomaceous earth (DE) can be effective, but it really depends on what you're dealing with. It works well for some pests, but isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. It’s great to know what specific problem you’re targeting to see if DE is your best bet.

Honestly, all brands of diatomaceous earth do pretty much the same job. The effectiveness really comes down to how you apply it. Just be careful with the application!

DE isn’t the most effective for insect control, especially if you can’t identify the pests. You might want to consider a safer insecticidal soap instead. Plus, dusting the DE can be tricky; it can get airborne and isn’t safe to breathe in.
