Why Am I Seeing the Same Bluetooth and WiFi Devices Everywhere I Go?

I've been noticing something really strange: every time I check my Bluetooth settings or use Bluetooth detector apps, there's always a device showing up with the same MAC address, no matter where I am—my home, my friends' places, even at the beach! The same thing happens with WiFi; a broadband device pops up on my list as well. I did some digging and found that it might be related to headsets or video audio devices since they have similar class codes. Can someone explain why this is happening?

Have you checked if it could be your phone causing this? If you're using it to scan for devices, it might be picking up signals from something else nearby too. Just because you're alone doesn’t mean there aren’t other devices broadcasted from the area. Keep an eye on the surroundings next time you check!

It sounds like you're unintentionally carrying a Bluetooth device with you! Try heading out with just your phone and see if the device still shows up. You can also change your clothes or shoes; sometimes, things like old wearables can hide in pockets or seams. Just make sure to check everything you've got with you—like bags or jackets—for anything out of the ordinary. You might find something you forgot about, or it could be something you picked up unknowingly.
