I've recently started using my shop a lot more and I have an older Craftsman 1hp dust collector along with a shop vac. I'm looking to add a ceiling-mounted air filtration system and found two new WEN systems locally that each have a maximum airflow of 400 CFM. My shop is about 580 sqft, and I've read online that I should aim for 500-600 CFM total. I'm considering running the two WEN units in opposite corners to enhance air quality. The price is really great at just $50 for both. Has anyone had experience with these systems or this brand? Should I get something bigger like a Jet system instead?

Just a heads up, while those filters can help with shop cleanliness, they might not be the best for managing harmful dust. There's a chance they can just keep the particles floating around at nose level instead of truly filtering them out. If you're mostly concerned about health, you might want to put that money towards a quality respirator. But if you're just looking to clean things up a bit, go for it! You can always pair them with good respiratory gear since you already have one.
Seriously, snag those WEN filters for $50! You can't beat that deal. Even if they only do a decent job, it's worth the investment, especially since you're looking to improve your shop's air quality. Running them in opposite corners sounds like a smart move to cover more area.
