What’s the Best Way to Cut a 1″x2″ Board at a 23-Degree Angle?

I'm working on a built-in cabinet in my bathroom that's going into a tricky corner shaped like a pizza slice. I've already installed the supports and shelves, and now I need to add vertical trim along the sides. To fit the 1"x2" boards flush against the walls, I need to cut them at a 23-degree angle along the full length of the boards (about 50 inches long). What's the safest and most effective method for making this cut?

Using a table saw is a solid choice! You can rip the angle on a wider board first, then trim it down to the final width with the blade set to straight. This helps ensure a clean cut throughout. Just make sure to secure everything properly before you start. Safety first!

If you're looking for a safer option, consider using a bandsaw! It works great for small pieces. Just draw a template for the desired angle on the board, tilt the table to match the angle, and then push the board through using some scrap to guide it. After cutting, smooth the edges with some self-adhesive sandpaper. It'll make everything fit much better!

I'd go with either a table saw or a track saw to get those angles right. Both tools can handle the cut efficiently and give you accurate results. Just remember to measure twice!
