Hey everyone! I'm wondering if those bandfile sanders are worth the investment, especially since I've started doing more boat repairs. I always thought they might just be a gimmick, but I'm now considering getting one for its rounded tip. Would love to hear what actual users think!

These sanders are super common in boat manufacturing. If you're doing a lot of boat repairs, I’d definitely recommend one. It's pretty handy for those rounded edges.
I've got to say, as someone in the autobody world, my bandfile sander is invaluable! I'd rank it right up there with my impact tools and ratchets. I even had to send mine out for repairs recently, and I can’t wait to get it back—it makes a big difference in the quality of my work.
It really depends on your projects. If it's boat work or autobody, it’s a great tool. But outside of that, maybe not as much. I just ordered one myself, even though I don't have a specific project in mind right now, I'm excited to see how it works out!
