I'm considering getting a trim router, specifically the DCW600, to help flatten some immovable hardwood stair treads. While I don't necessarily need a cordless router, the flexibility of working untethered is appealing, especially since I enjoy using cordless tools like circular saws. I'm curious about how powerful the DCW600 is, its runtime, and its overall durability. Has anyone here had experience with this router?

I've been impressed with the DCW600. It's powerful enough for various tasks, and I've used it for flush trimming and rounding edges without any complaints. If you grab the right bits, it should do a good job flattening those treads too! Oh, and I snagged mine on a buy-one-get-one deal, so I felt it was a steal at around $89!
I really like my DCW600! It's compact but doesn't skimp on power, and my 8 amp battery lasts quite a while. I've used it on hardwood without any issues, and being cordless is a game changer for those tricky spots where having a long cord would just get in the way. For me, it's worth the extra cash!
I've used the DCW600 quite a bit while shaping railings and banisters for a cabin. With the 5ah batteries, I'm getting great runtime. I mainly use Bosch bits for the rounding work. Just a tip: definitely get the edge guide; it makes a world of difference!

Totally agree with you! Cordless tools make such a difference when you're in a tight space. It really helps to have that freedom.
