I'm new to lawn care and just moved into a house with a pretty rough lawn—it's bumpy and patchy. I'm looking for advice on where to begin with fixing it up. Any local tips or step-by-step recommendations would be fantastic!

I tackled a similar lawn issue, and here's what I did step-by-step:
1. Aerated the soil first to improve air and water penetration.
2. Scarified to remove debris and thatch buildup.
3. Spread a generous amount of topsoil over the area.
4. Used a lawn rake and a lute to level everything out.
5. Rolled it to ensure everything was compact and smooth.
6. Applied fertilizer and left it for about a week.
7. Spread grass seeds everywhere.
8. Covered the seeds with a light layer of topsoil mixed with compost.
9. Rolled it again for good measure.
10. Watered three times a day for three weeks.
Trust me, my lawn looked like Wembley Stadium in just a month! Don’t forget to dig out any clumpy weeds before starting!

Awesome tips! Do you have any specific brands or types of topsoil, fertilizer, and seeds you’d recommend?
