Did I Pick the Right Drill for My DIY and Car Needs?

Hey everyone! I recently bought the DCF891B 1/2" impact drill, and I'm wondering if I might have overdone it with my purchase. I wanted something good for DIY projects as well as changing tires and doing other work on my truck. Is this drill too powerful for what I need? Also, what kind of impact sockets should I get for tire changes and other parts on my truck? Any advice would be much appreciated!

For the impact sockets, if you care about your rims, definitely go for the lug nut sockets with protective sleeves. If you’re not worried about looks and have steel rims, just get the deep impact sockets from Harbor Freight. You could even find those common sizes sold individually, which might save you a bit of cash!

Or if you're on a budget, just grab the cheaper ones and wrap them up with some non-marking tape to protect your rims!

I think you should be good! If you’re going to use it frequently—like changing tires every season—you’ll definitely get your money’s worth from this drill. Just as a heads-up, I once used a knockoff version that worked surprisingly well for heavy-duty stuff! Just make sure it fits your needs.

Honestly, you made a solid choice! The DCF891B is often considered the best "one size fits all" impact drill out there. It's perfect for DIY projects and tough enough for automotive use.
