Is the Angle of My Dryer Hose Safe?

I recently contacted my apartment complex because my dryer seemed to take 4-5 cycles just to dry my clothes. They came in and replaced the dryer's duct hose, but I noticed the angle it's positioned at now seems a bit off. I'm sharing a picture of the new angle. Is this installation safe? I haven't dried any clothes since the change, so I'm not sure if it will resolve the problem. They mentioned my old hose was full of lint and had holes.

It’s probably that way because they had to stretch it while moving the dryer. You could use a broom handle to help straighten it out a bit. For such a short run, it shouldn't be too problematic unless it connects to a vent that's blocked.

Flexible hoses like that can trap lint and create ventilation issues. If it looks twisted, it could restrict airflow further. That said, you might want to check the entire vent line for clogs—many folks forget about the parts they can't see!

Yeah, those kinds of hoses are fire hazards. Definitely look into getting a sturdier solution instead.

The angle isn't ideal, but it shouldn't cause major issues. However, if you're still having to run the dryer 4-5 times, there's a chance the ducting elsewhere might be blocked. Did they check the entire vent system?

Yeah, in my experience, apartments rarely clean those ducts fully. Had a few clogged vents myself, and it made it impossible to dry clothes efficiently.
