I'm curious about who you all consider to be the go-to experts for various woodworking techniques and tools. For instance, I think of Bob Flexner for finishing, Paul Sellers for hand tools, and Alex Snodgrass when it comes to bandsaws. I'd love to hear your thoughts on whom you regard as the experts in this field or on specific tools!

Here's a bit more insight into the experts mentioned: Bob Flexner is known for his book 'Understanding Wood Finishing'. It's packed with information yet easy to digest, even if you're not a chemistry whiz. Seriously, check it out!

Then there's Paul Sellers, who’s a master of hand tools with over 50 years of experience. His YouTube channel is a treasure trove of tips and techniques that's totally worth exploring.

Alex Snodgrass, while not as prominent online, has some great content on bandsaw setups. He runs clinics at Woodcraft stores and is super approachable if you shoot him questions.

I’d add Jack Forsberg to the list for vintage power tools and timber framing. His workshop is incredible, and he knows a ton about historical restoration too. It's like a treasure trove of woodworking knowledge!

Chris Schwarz is definitely a name to mention when it comes to workbenches and stick chairs. He's a real guru, especially on historical designs and workholding methods. After building the Roman bench from his book, I'm now a huge fan! Plus, it's fantastic that Lost Art Press puts his books out as free PDFs for everyone to access. That’s a game changer!

Totally agree! Schwarz really knows his stuff. I'm currently in the process of designing my own workbench and hadn't heard of him before this - thanks for the recommendation!

If you're looking for someone who works across materials, Jimmy Diresta is impressive. His projects span different mediums, mainly wood, and he offers a bunch of creative ideas! His tips and tricks really inspire you to think outside the box.
