Some roofers even offer solar-powered options, but since we just had our roof replaced, I'm wondering if it's the right time to consider one. I also recognize that if the attic isn't well sealed from the living space, it might actually create more problems than it solves. What do you all think?

Attic fans are pretty common here in Texas. A lot of people swear by them, especially during the hotter months.
If no one in your household has environmental allergies, they can be quite useful. But if anyone suffers from them, it could be problematic. The fan might pull in allergens like pollen and mold, which isn't ideal for respiratory health.
I live in Colorado and honestly, now that I've installed an attic fan, I can't imagine not having one. The temperature here can fluctuate a lot, but if you run it in the morning and then shut it off once it heats up, it keeps my house cool until lunch! Plus, it’s great for clearing out stale air or any smoke if I accidentally burn something in the kitchen.
