Hi everyone! I recently got married in the U.K., and my partner and I are exploring the idea of living separately while still being in a relationship. Some friends of ours have tried this and found it helpful, so we thought we'd give it a go, especially since we both have ADHD. We're considering turning a well-insulated shed into a livable space for me. The shed used to be a home and is equipped with AC, so temperature control won't be a problem. It's approximately 4.8m x 3.4m and has no bathroom or water supply, but it's connected to the mains. I'll mostly be in the house in the evenings.
I'm looking for suggestions on how to set it up efficiently since I'm not great at organizing. I already have some collapsible drawers, a shoe rack, and a couple of mini cupboards for quick meals. I'm also thinking about getting a mini fridge or mini freezer since we have a couple of freezers already.
Additionally, any recommendations for single beds, couches, or pull-out options would be appreciated, as well as any general tips on furniture, decor, or essentials that aren't obvious. Thanks in advance!

YouTube is a goldmine for ideas on transforming sheds into livable spaces! Just search for 'shed living space' and you’ll find tons of tips. That said, it’s worth considering why you both feel living separately might benefit you. Living arrangements can be influenced by many factors, and sometimes it’s best to consult with a professional to address any underlying issues. You both deserve a great living situation without any added stress!

Seriously! I can't believe the timing here. Didn’t even make it a week into marriage, and he’s in the shed already! Seems so unusual, right?
