I've got a 10AH battery that's around three years old, and I'm running into a weird issue. When I try to use it with my circular saw or chainsaw, it only stays powered for a second before cutting out. If I hit the trigger again, it does the same thing. Strangely enough, it works just fine with my drills and impacts. Does anyone know what could be going wrong and how I might fix this?

I’ve actually had a similar problem before, and it turned out that one of the cells in my battery had failed. It could be that yours has a bad cell too, especially if it’s only happening with certain tools. If it works fine on the drills but not the saws, that’s a strong indicator. You might want to look into getting a new battery or having this one checked out.
It sounds like your battery might not be able to handle the power needed for tools like circular saws and chainsaws. The 10Ah battery is designed more for lower-drain tools, so when you use it for high-draw tools, it can't keep up. The issue could be linked to the battery's internal cells, which start to fail over time. To resolve this, the simplest option might be to try a different battery that's better suited for high-power tools.
Yeah, I agree! Those saws demand a lot of power initially, and if the battery can’t keep up, it just cuts out. I’d recommend checking if the battery has any dead cells.

Thanks for the tip! Do you think it’s worth trying to fix, or should I just go for a replacement?
