What Are the Best Plants for a Low-Light Bathroom?

Asked By PlantsRUs94 On

I'm looking to add some greenery to my bathroom but it only has one frosted glass window that faces a well between buildings, making it quite low-light. I live in a tropical area where it's hot and humid all year round. Can anyone recommend some plants that would thrive (or at least survive) by this bathroom window?

Have you thought about adding grow bulbs to your bathroom lighting? I've heard people having success with that. Just a thought!

I’d rather not, but thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep it in mind.

Dracaena could be a good option, too. They're pretty resilient if you're just looking for survival in low light.

Great! I’ll do some research on them now.

You might want to try pothos or snake plants! They can handle low light better than most. They may not grow super lush, but they'll definitely survive in those conditions.

You might also consider getting a Boston fern, they're known to do well in humid conditions.

Honestly, if you really want something that's guaranteed to look good without the hassle, consider going for a fake plant. Real ones just don’t tend to do well in low-light situations.

That's true—plants like ZZ can struggle and just end up barely hanging on. Might be better to choose something low maintenance.
