How to Remove Stubborn Oil Stains from Concrete?

A few weeks ago, my RV developed an oil leak from the leveling jacks, and now I have transmission fluid stains on my concrete. I couldn't get to the stains right away, so they've had a couple of weeks to soak in. I tried pressure washing them, but that didn't really help at all. I've also poured kitty litter on the stains for 24 hours before pressure washing, which did seem to lift some oil since there was a petroleum sheen in the runoff water, but the stains are still quite noticeable. Any suggestions on what I can do to get rid of these stubborn spots?

My dad used to swear by Tide for spots like these. He’d pour some on the stain, let it soak, scrub it with a wire brush, and then hose it off. Just keep in mind that it might not work on really set-in stains, but it’s worth a shot!

Yeah, I've heard that works but not sure about old oil stains. Just make sure to manage your expectations!

You might want to try a degreaser specifically made for concrete. Keep in mind that it probably won’t look brand new again, but with time, those stains might blend in as they age. It’s a tough battle!
