How can I stop over-caring for my plants that thrive on neglect?

I've noticed that I tend to check on my plants daily, looking at their leaves and soil, which I think might be too much attention. I'm often rearranging them for better light or repotting them prematurely instead of waiting until they truly need it. How do I let them be more independent?

One great idea is to just get more plants! When you have a bunch, you won't have as much time to fuss over each one. I have around 40 plants, and they're all doing great because I can't constantly monitor them anymore. It's actually helped them flourish!

It might help to redefine what 'babying' means for you. It sounds like you care for them a lot, but perhaps you can find a balance where you still give them love without overdoing it. Just remember, less can sometimes be more!

I see what you're saying, but it feels like there are so many rules to follow that I'm getting tangled in them! ?

Getting more plants can work wonders. When I had fewer, I checked on them way too much, but now with a larger collection, I've learned to let them thrive on their own. Trust me, they might surprise you!
