I recently had to replace my fridge because the old one stopped working, and I got a new one from maintenance. After plugging it in and filling it up, I came back home from work about 9 hours later and noticed that the walls of the fridge are barely cooler than room temperature. However, the food inside is still pretty cold. I had set it to the middle temperature initially, but then cranked it up after noticing this. Should I be concerned? Is there a reason that the plastic walls could be warmer than the food yet the fridge seems to work? It's not a brand-new fridge, just a used one from my landlord, so I'm a bit worried about its performance. Any advice would be appreciated!

If your freezer can still freeze water, it's likely functioning properly! Just a hunch based on what you described. That’s a good sign.

The freezer's working fine, but the lower half of the fridge feels barely cool. That's strange, right?
