Hi everyone! I'm curious if lavenders can grow well in the Mediterranean climate here in Turkey, where we regularly hit 35°C (95°F) during the summer. I have a big pot for planting, so space won't be a problem. However, I'm a bit worried about whether these plants can survive such high temperatures. Any advice would be appreciated!

Absolutely! Honestly, lavenders are originally from the Mediterranean, so they’re pretty well-suited for your climate. If you can, planting them in the ground would be ideal. Once established, they’re quite drought-tolerant. I live in an area where summers can get pretty dry and hot, and my lavenders thrive without much fuss. Just make sure to keep them watered during the initial setup, and then let them do their thing!
From my experience, lavenders do pretty well in hot weather, but there are a few things to keep in mind if you’re planting in pots. Make sure to water them reliably, especially when it's super hot – in smaller pots, you might need to water daily. Just watch out for overwatering since it can be easy to do in pots. If you have a good, well-draining soil, they should do just fine!
