How Should I Handle Potential Bugs in My Attic?

Asked By CuriousCat99 On

I have an attic with insulation, and while it's not sealed tight, I haven't noticed any bugs coming into my home or any visible signs of them. Should I be proactive and set up some roach traps, mothballs, or something similar, or is it unnecessary?

If you’re concerned, you could position some sticky traps up there. Just replace them every few months to catch anything that might wander in. But if you haven't seen any bugs at all, it might be fine to leave things as they are!

Totally agree! Just a little preventative measure doesn't hurt.

I've found that having some spiders in your attic can actually help keep bugs in check. Sticky traps are definitely a solid option. Just steer clear of random spraying unless you actually notice an infestation. Better safe than sorry, but no need to treat unless it’s necessary!

Honestly, bugs in the attic aren’t usually a huge deal unless you see evidence of them. I'd just let things be, but checking periodically is a smart move!

It sounds like you’re in good shape if there are no signs of bugs. I’d suggest just checking your attic once or twice a year. If nothing pops up, you probably don’t need to worry. Just keep an eye on it!
