I've been really enjoying whittling and I've been making a project every day. I'm looking to invest in some high-quality whittling knives to enhance my experience. I've heard about Helvie knives, but they're currently on back order, so I'm wondering what other great options are out there.

If you're serious about whittling, I'd recommend checking out brands like Helvie and Drake, but be prepared for long wait times. You might want to look into Lee Ferguson knives; they're often overlooked but have a solid reputation. Deepwood Ventures also offer top-notch options that you shouldn't miss. For something with excellent specifications, try Silvernworks – they look really promising! And don't forget about OCCT knives; they're quite good as well. Flexcut is decent but not quite at the same level as the others.

Hey, there’s a great resource with a list of good brands that I found really helpful! You might want to check out that wiki for tools; it covers a lot of the frequently asked questions and might have a few gems listed. Using the search function can also reveal previous discussions on this topic that could have answers you're looking for!
