I've got a copper beech hedge that I've had for two years, and honestly, it hasn't really grown. I'm thinking about taking it out from its single row and replanting it in a double row layout. What's the best way to go about removing the existing hedge and successfully repotting it in a way that promotes growth? Any advice would be really appreciated!

To successfully transplant your hedge, you should use a garden fork to lift the plants carefully. Try to disturb the roots as little as possible. When you replant, make sure the new spot has a trench that’s been improved with organic matter and mycorrhiza. It’s crucial to keep the plants well-watered for the first couple of years—using a soaker hose is a great idea, so you can soak them weekly instead of just misting them every day.

Just ordered a 100m soaker hose today, thanks for the advice!
