I'm at my wit's end with my garage situation! It's supposed to fit two cars, but right now, it's so packed with tools, bikes, holiday decorations, and all sorts of random stuff that we can barely park one car. I'm ready to finally invest in an organization system to clear up this clutter. I'm considering things like heavy-duty wall shelving for storage bins, overhead racks for long-term items, and a better way to hang tools like shovels and rakes. What products or brands have you used that you'd recommend for effective garage organization? I'd love to know what's the best value for your money!

Check out those black and yellow storage bins from Costco; they’re solid! Home Depot sells them too, but not sure if they’re as good. I've also had luck with slatwall for hanging tools, which is much cheaper than the branded options. About 12-16 boxes seems to be just right for keeping things organized without going overboard on storage!
Those bins can be pricey; I’ll need to check the prices!
Most garage storage solutions pretty much follow the same basic concept with different brands. Take some measurements and hit your local hardware store. You’ll find everything you need without breaking the bank!
Are there certain brands you think are actually better than others?
Building your own could be a great option, if you’re up for it!
Honestly, my best tip is to just start by getting a dumpster. Seriously! When I was in the same boat with my garage, we got rid of tons of stuff we didn't need anymore. Once the junk was out, we added shelves and cabinets which helped a lot, but the real game-changer was decluttering first. Once you get rid of the excess, the organization becomes much easier!
Sounds satisfying! How much was your dumpster? Did you have any issues with random people stopping by to dump their stuff?
We might go this route! Seems like the best way forward!

Clear bins are a lifesaver; at least you’ll remember what's in them!
