I'm curious about the future of mid-range impact wrenches. Currently, all the options are part of the 800 series, while we have compacts and ultra-high versions in the 900 series. Is there any chance a new mid-range model is on the way, or do you think they might just phase out mid-range tools as the compact models become more powerful?

It seems unlikely that we'll see an update to the mid-range impact wrenches anytime soon. The 891 model just came out two years ago, and it still holds the crown for power-to-weight ratio. So, I wouldn't count on a new release in the near future. Just keep an eye out for sales if you're interested in snagging one!
Honestly, the best approach is to buy tools based on your actual needs. If you don't need a mid-range impact wrench right now, it might just be wise to wait. If you’re mainly doing routine maintenance, it might be more of a luxury tool for you at the moment!
Totally get that! An impact wrench would be awesome, but it’s not a must-have for what I work on.
