I've got a lot of Milwaukee and Dewalt tools, with both Forge and Flexvolt batteries. I'm looking to invest in some outdoor power equipment like a mower, weed wacker, blower, chainsaw, and eventually a snowblower. I know there are probably other great brands out there, but I want to stick with Milwaukee and Dewalt since I already have their batteries. My main question is: can Milwaukee's Forge-powered OPE keep up with Dewalt's Flexvolt offerings?

I’ve had a great experience with Milwaukee Forge tools. They handle everything—bucking logs with the chainsaw, mowing overgrown grass, even sawing concrete without overheating or breaking. Sure, I push my high output battery hard, especially when sawing, but they’ve never let me down. I’m curious, do you think that new snow blower from Milwaukee can keep up with the 60V Toro or the Flexvolt from Dewalt?
I also own both Flexvolt and Milwaukee tools. This might be controversial, but Flexvolt definitely packs more power; we're talking 18V vs. 56V here, which aren’t really in the same league. That said, Milwaukee's M18 tools can handle most jobs just fine. The biggest difference is often in the blower and high power tools. Dewalt’s two Flexvolt blowers are incredibly powerful. Plus, having a universal attachment that lets you switch between 20V and 60V is super handy for tougher jobs like thick hedges or using a pole saw. One downside with Dewalt, though, is that they use lower-quality parts. For example, you’ll probably have to replace the string trimmer head within a few months, and their hedge trimmer design lacks an oil nipple, which affects maintenance and longevity. Honestly surprised Milwaukee hasn’t come out with their own version of Flexvolt yet—they're missing out on some market!
I’ve got the M18 mower, a dual battery blower, a dual battery string trimmer, and the latest single battery hedge trimmer, and they all work like a charm! No worries at all about power; they tackle everything I throw at them. I can’t speak for the Dewalt blower and trimmer, but I’ve tried their mower, and honestly, it didn’t impress me at all.
