Is it okay to cut into my OSB subfloor for projects?

I'm currently converting a room in my shed for some personal space while I work nights and sleep during the day. The shed has a concrete floor with foam gym tiles on top, and I've laid 18mm T&G OSB as a subfloor. I'm limited on space for cutting plywood sheets, so I'm contemplating using the OSB as a 'sacrificial' surface while I make cuts with a circular saw. My thinking is that if I keep the grooves spaced out, it will be fine under the final floor layers. Am I on the right track, or will this create issues?

Be careful with your blade heating up and warping, which can mess with your cuts. Ideally, you should keep the blade from being buried in the cut. Support your plywood with strips of 2x4 or use a sheet of styrofoam insulation underneath. It’ll make your cuts cleaner and protect your blade.

Thanks for the heads-up! I was focusing on the possibility of damaging the OSB, but it makes total sense that blade issues could crop up too. I could definitely manage some smaller pieces for support instead of a giant foam sheet.
