I'm wondering if it's necessary to invest in a polisher for my car detailing tasks, or if I could get by with using one of my drills or other power tools like oscillating tools or grinders by just adding the right attachment. What do you all think?

If you're doing bodywork or wanting a high-gloss finish, I definitely recommend a polisher. Drills are great for tasks like headlight restoration, but they don't provide the same consistent results that a polisher does. The polisher's speed and handling really help get that perfect shine you want.

Can you elaborate on why? What does a polisher do that my other tools that spin attachments in a circle don’t do, haha. I’m just confused.
